Job summary

THERAPEUTIC ALTERNATIVES INC is seeking a capable supervisor to assist the ED/Administrator in managing daily operations of the home in North Carolina. The role involves supervising staff, ensuring medication safety, and maintaining regulatory compliance with licensing rules.

You will participate in QA programs, survey processes, and care planning meetings. The position requires at least six months of supervisory experience, a high school diploma or GED, and willingness to obtain required

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Minimum six months supervisory experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read, write, understand and follow directions.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to obtain CPR certification within 60 days of hire.
• Must obtain/maintain CNA or Personal Care Aide certificate within 6 months.
• Must obtain Medication Aide Certification within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise staff and assist ED/Administrator in management duties.
• Ensure medication administration follows policies and reporting errors.
• Develop and implement procedures to reduce medication errors.
• Complete administrative forms, charts, and reports as required.
• Participate in QA programs and facility surveys.
• Attend Care Plan meetings and continuing education programs.
• Apply safety procedures and monitor environment for hazards.
• Assist residents with activities of daily living per Care Plans.
• Maintain resident dignity, safety, and well-being at all times.
• Coordinate with care staff to address residents’ needs and emergencies.
