Job summary

MorningStar Senior Living is seeking a Med Care Manager/QMAP to administer, document, and manage medications for residents under the Wellness Director’s guidance, following state regulations. The role emphasizes accuracy, timely ordering, and direct patient care in a senior living setting.

The position requires completing state medication training, First Aid, and QMAP (where applicable). A high school diploma and healthcare experience are preferred, with opportunities for advancement within

Qualifications

• State-approved Medication Administration training completed.
• First Aid certification as required by ALF regulations.
• QMAP certification in CO.

Responsibilities

• Administer and document medications per MAR with the five rights and physician orders.
• Order meds from the pharmacy 7 days prior to running out and ensure availability; notify Wellness Director if delayed.
• Document medications given in the resident’s medical record immediately after administration.
• Observe and report reactions/side effects to the licensed nurse.
• Take and record vital signs prior to administration when needed; report any medication errors to the Wellness Director.
• Assist with development/review of the resident’s care plan with other disciplines.
• Ensure privacy, respect, and dignity of residents; maintain safety and comfort.
