Job summary

Better Health Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide both clinical and administrative support in a fast-paced primary care setting for Medicare Advantage patients. The MA will prepare patients for examinations, assist providers, document encounters in EMR, and support front office operations while ensuring patient safety and quality outcomes.

The role requires strong communication, HIPAA knowledge, and experience with EMR systems; CPR/BLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
• CPR/BLS certification required or obtained within organizational guidelines.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, CLIA, OSHA regulations and EMR systems.

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and prepare them for provider examinations; document history in EMR.
• Measure vital signs and prepare examination rooms.
• Assist providers during examinations and in-office procedures.
• Administer medications and immunizations as directed.
• Complete outbound patient communications and follow up on preventive care.
