Job summary

VIPcare seeks a Medical Assistant to provide both clinical and administrative support under a physician-led team. You will prepare patients for examinations, document in the EMR, assist providers, and support front office operations to ensure safe, high-quality care.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma with CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA preferred, CPR/BLS, EMR experience, and proficiency with Google Workspace, all within a patient-first Medicare Advantage setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred (CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, or equivalent certification).
• 1+ year(s) of experience as a Medical Assistant in a physician practice, outpatient, or ambulatory care setting preferred.
• Current CPR/BLS certification required or obtained within organizational guidelines.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, infection prevention, and CLIA regulations.
• Experience using electronic medical records (EMRs).

Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and prepare them for provider examinations by obtaining and documenting patient history, medications, allergies, and other clinical information in the EMR.
• Measure, document, and report vital signs and other clinical observations.
• Prepare patients and examination rooms for provider visits and assist during examinations and treatments.
• Explain provider instructions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up care to patients.
• Perform administrative tasks: scheduling, registration, referrals, and coordinating telephone communications.
• Maintain patient records with HIPAA-compliant documentation and ensure accurate data entry.
