Job summary

Better Health Group is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinical and administrative tasks within a primary care setting focused on a 65+ patient population. The role involves patient preparation, assisting physicians, EMR documentation, and front-desk duties to ensure smooth patient flow.

Responsibilities include vital signs, specimen processing, in-office tests, patient education, and coordinating care with the provider. A compliant, patient-centered approach is essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of Accredited Medical Assistant program preferred (RMA or CMA).
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• CPR certification preferred.
• IV Start Certification preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA preferred.
• Basic computer skills with EMR familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for provider examination and record patient information.
• Assist provider with examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Maintain complete medical records electronically.
• Manage front-desk operations including phone calls and scheduling.
• Provide patient education and assist with procedures as directed.
• Perform in-office diagnostic tests and CLIA-waived lab tests.
• Assist with inventory and onboarding of new team members.
