Job summary

Medix is seeking a Medical Assistant in Tulsa, OK to join a primary care team serving senior Medicare Advantage patients. The role emphasizes phlebotomy, preventive care, and care-gap initiatives with flexible float to an additional Tulsa site as needed.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of MA experience, strong phlebotomy skills, and comfort with EKGs and injections. Day shifts, patient education, and high-quality documentation are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, EMT, or LPN program preferred.
• At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience and phlebotomy experience required.
• Strong phlebotomy skills and ability to perform blood draws accurately.
• Willingness to learn and receive training on injections if not already proficient.
• Experience with patient intake, vital signs, clinical screenings, and electronic medical records preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient intake, obtain detailed medical histories, and accurately measure and document vital signs.
• Room patients, perform routine examinations and screenings, conduct EKGs, and administer injections.
• Perform phlebotomy and blood draws with a high level of accuracy and proficiency.
• Communicate findings to the Primary Care Provider (PCP) and coordinate with team.
• Process patient phone messages, return calls, and relay information between patients and physicians.
