Job summary

Seaton Senior Living seeks a Care/Medication Technician to provide hands-on care and emotional support to residents in a safe, home-like environment. This role includes assisting with activities of daily living, medication observation, and collaboration with the nursing team.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required or preferred.
• Certified Nurse’s Aide certification is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• First Aid certification is preferred.
• You must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Care Giver: supervise a designated group of residents, check on them through the shift.
• Observe and document residents’ symptoms and condition changes.
• Respond promptly to security system and call bells.
• Notify supervisor if residents require increased care.
• Assist with continence management and proper sanitation.
• Serve and collect food trays and report meal refusals.
• Maintain cleanliness of resident rooms and work areas.
• Practice standard care precautions and hygiene.
• Encourage independence and safety for residents.
• Assist with activities of daily living and life enrichment.
• Greet and assist customers, guests, residents, and vendors.
• Handle resident laundry as assigned.
• Medication Tech: review service plan to learn resident information.
• Assist/observe medications and treatments using Six Rights.
• Document medications given and any refusals or missed doses.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
• Report concerns to Nurse/HCC.
• Restock medication cart after passes.
• Assist in checking medications regardless of packaging.
• Count narcotics with another manager or nurse per shift.
• Maintain and clean Medication Room and charts.
• Follow refill process and participate in Service Plan updates.
• Take and record vital signs.

Education

High School diploma/GED
