The Palmettos of Charleston is seeking a Cook/Server to join our team and assist in producing and serving patient meals in a geriatric care setting. Responsibilities include assisting with diet-conscious meal preparation, maintaining sanitation, and ensuring timely delivery of trays, while delivering friendly, patient-centered service.

The role requires adherence to regulations and potential certifications.

Qualifications

• Must have sincere interest in foodservice and care for healthcare patients.
• Willing to learn therapeutic and modified diet information.
• Knowledge of sanitation procedures and daily use.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Punctual and reliable for scheduled shifts.
• May need Food Handlers Certificate or Sanitation Course per state rules.

Responsabilités

• Scrape, stack, wash, and sanitize dishes and utensils.
• Transport and store dishes; ensure sufficient clean stock.
• Clean and sanitize the dish machine and dish room.
• Assist cook in preparing and serving foods for all diets.
• Set up trays for service and deliver carts to floors.
• Bus tables and sanitize surfaces.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
