This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and prior cooking experience is preferred. You may need to lift up to 50 lbs and comply with vaccination policies; ServSafe certification may be required by state law.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous cook/food prep experience preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain positive attitude and communicate with staff and leadership to perform tasks.
• COVID-19 vaccination policy compliance.
• Lift/carry up to 50 pounds; stand, walk, bend for extended periods.
• May need to complete sanitation/safety course.
• ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by state/county law.
• Residency within service area required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean and orderly kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
