Job summary

Healthcare Services Group (HCSG) is hiring a Cook to prepare and cook nutritious meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will ensure quality, taste, and presentation while following safety and sanitation guidelines.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, prior cooking experience preferred, and the ability to handle dietary restrictions. Residency within the service area is required, with a wage of $20–$22 per hour and opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous cooking experience is preferred.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with staff and residents.
• COVID-19 vaccination policies compliance may be required.
• Lift/carry up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• May need to complete an approved sanitation and safety course.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required by state law.
• Residency within the service area is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and recipes.
• Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet HCSG standards.
• Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines; maintain a clean kitchen.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering of supplies.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
