Job summary

Paycom seeks an Assistant Director of Nursing at Longhorn Village in Austin, TX. This role plans, directs, and evaluates the nursing service operation to ensure the highest quality resident care.

The on-site position requires a Texas Licensed RN and the ability to supervise day-to-day staff in a 24-hour operation, supporting the Director of Nursing. You will lead staffing, ensure regulatory compliance (OBRA), maintain documentation audits, and foster positive relations with residents, families

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with a current State of Texas license.
• Ability to supervise and direct subordinates.
• Ability to read regulations and write clearly.
• Strong communication in courteous, friendly manner.
• Ability to plan, organize, develop, implement and interpret programs and policies for quality resident care.

Responsibilities

• Interviews, hires, orients, schedules, assigns work to, evaluates, and when necessary disciplines assigned staff members.
• Interacts with residents, families, or visitors to solve problems and maintain goodwill.
• Assist physicians in planning for the individual resident’s nursing care.
• Assure proper nursing documentation by regular audits.
• Participate on special projects or studies as required.
• Attend workshops and seminars to stay current in healthcare field.
• Monitor compliance with Federal and State rules and facility policies.
• Maintain strong relationships with medical professionals and outside agencies.
• Ensure residents’ rights to fair and equitable treatment are upheld.
• Be on call as department policy.
