Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Resident Assistant/Personal Care Aide (PCA) to provide quality care and assist residents with activities of daily living. The role includes reporting incidents, maintaining policy knowledge, and supporting residents during meals, activities, and move-ins.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of an approved personal care aide program per state regulations.
• Effective verbal and written communication are essential.
• Organized and able to work well with all levels of staff.
• Respectful and courteous to residents, visitors, and co-workers.

Responsibilities

• Reports incidents involving residents to appropriate individuals (e.g., HCD, RN/LPN, or ED).
• Assists residents with activities of daily living.
• Perform housekeeping duties in resident areas as directed by supervisor.
• Respond promptly to all resident calls for assistance or emergencies.
• Assist in planning and conducting activity programs for residents.
• Follows confidentiality policies regarding resident information.
• Assists residents to and from the dining room and activities; monitor attendance.
• Checks on residents who are ill and reports status to appropriate individuals.
• Communicate verbally and in writing to report resident status and appointments.
• Assist new residents with move-in transition and provide emotional support.
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings and be a positive team member.
