Job summary

Orchard Care Homes seeks a Senior Care Assistant to lead our care team at Bolsover, Derbyshire, delivering high-quality support across medical, physical and emotional care for residents.

You will supervise staff, mentor colleagues, and promote dignity, independence, and choice while liaising with healthcare professionals and families to ensure exceptional care every day.

Qualifications

• Qualified to Level 3 in Health & Social Care (essential)
• Experienced in elderly care or dementia support
• A confident leader with strong supervisory skills
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable
• A great communicator and team player
• Willing to continue learning and developing professionally

Responsibilities

• Leading and supporting the care team to deliver high-quality care
• Administering medication safely and accurately
• Monitoring residents' wellbeing and updating care records
• Liaising with healthcare professionals and families
• Supporting residents with personal care, meals, and daily activities
• Ensuring the home remains clean, safe, and welcoming
• Promoting dignity, independence, and choice for every resident
• Participating in audits, inspections, and team meetings

As a Senior Care Assistant, you'll play a key leadership role within our care team.
