Job summary

Vasona Creek Healthcare Center is seeking an Activities Assistant to join our compassionate, resident-centered team in Los Gatos, CA. You will design, plan, and run a variety of wellness and recreation programs that support residents' physical, mental, and emotional well-being, helping them stay active and engaged daily.

In collaboration with the Activities Director, you will lead group and one-on-one events, encourage participation in games, music, arts and crafts, and document attendance and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent certification.
• Experience in senior care, skilled nursing, or memory care preferred.
• Excellent communication, patient demeanor, and a positive attitude.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stay active on your feet.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including some weekends or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily group and one-on-one recreational events.
• Encourage participation in games, music, arts and crafts.
• Document attendance logs and progress notes.
• Transport residents safely to activity areas.
• Maintain safe, clean, and organized activity spaces.
• Assist with receptionist and phone duties as needed.
