Sunnycrest is seeking an enthusiastic Activities Assistant to help plan and lead engaging daily activities and special events for our senior residents. You will support physical, cognitive, and social well-being while fostering joy, connection, and a warm community atmosphere.

Join a team that values creativity and collaboration, supports Montessori-based Thrive programming, coordinates with care staff and families, and ensures activities spaces are well-organized and inviting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience assisting resident activities or event coordination.
• Knowledge of dementia care basics and activity planning.
• CPR certification within 30 days of hire.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, organizing, and leading engaging daily activities and special events.
• Support programs that promote physical, cognitive, social, and emotional well-being, including Montessori-based Thrive programming.
• Encourage resident participation and build positive relationships with residents and families.
• Prepare activity materials and maintain activity spaces.
• Escort residents to and from activities as needed.
• Document participation and contribute ideas to enhance programming.
• Support holiday celebrations, themed events, and community outings.
• Collaborate with other departments to create a vibrant community atmosphere.
