Job summary

UNC Health Cardiology at Pittsboro is seeking a Cardiovascular Sonographer to perform ultrasound imaging of the heart and vascular structures, including pre/post-procedure patient care, room setup, and data reporting.

The role requires ARDMS/CCI eligibility or registration within 1 year, an associate degree or a 12-month ultrasound program, and at least 1 year in an acute hospital setting. Day shift, onsite, 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Sonography or Radiology required or completion of a 12-month ultrasound program within 3 months of hire.
• ARDMS/CCI registration required or eligible and registered within 1 year of hire.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates competence in pre- and post-procedure patient care including CPR.
• Ensures equipment is calibrated and maintained; performs QA monitoring.
• Generates ultrasound images of the heart and vascular structures; performs advanced studies.
