Job summary

UNC Health Care in Cary, NC is seeking a full-time ultrasound technologist specialized in cardiovascular imaging. You will perform ultrasound exams of the heart and vascular structures, prep the patient, assist in the procedure, and ensure equipment readiness and data documentation.

No prior experience required, with an early path to credentialing. The role requires an Associate degree in Sonography or Radiology and ARDMS/CCI eligibility with timely credentialing; on-site work with UNC Faculty

Qualifications

Associates degree required in Sonography or Radiology or completion of 12-month ultrasound program within 3 months of hire.
ARDMS/CCI registration or eligible and registration within 1 year of hire.

Responsibilities

Delivers pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care including CPR; may assist with post-procedure transport.
Maintains and calibrates ultrasound equipment daily; performs QA and reports problems.
Generates ultrasound images of heart and vascular structures.
May train staff and contribute to education.
Monitors and records patient information; manages data storage and reports; retrieves stored data.
Prepares procedure room and equipment for daily use and ensures timely room turnover between procedures.
