Job summary

UNC Health in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform cardiovascular ultrasound imaging, pre/post-procedure patient care, and room preparation.

This full-time, on-site role features a 40-hour work week, competitive hourly pay from $35.87 to $51.57, and a $15,000 commitment incentive paid over three years.

Required: associate degree in sonography or radiology, ARDMS/CCI eligibility with certification within a year, and BLS certification; no prior experience required.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Sonography or Radiology or related field within 3 months of hire.
  • Completion of a 12-month ultrasound program within 3 months of hire.
  • Registered by ARDMS/CCI or registry eligible with 1-year registration plan.
  • BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver pre-procedure and post-procedure patient care, including CPR when needed.
  • Ensure equipment calibration and daily maintenance; report issues.
  • Generate ultrasound images of heart and vascular structures.
  • May provide staff training and education.
  • Monitor and record patient information; manage data and reports.
  • Prepare procedure room and ensure efficient turnover between procedures.
