Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a skilled professional to support cardiovascular invasive labs, ensuring accurate data, patient safety, and coordinated care. You will operate and maintain invasive lab equipment, document procedures, and participate in quality and leadership activities.

Preferred candidates have RCIS/RCES/IBHRE, BLS, ACLS within 6 months, and credentials in health sciences. Strong EKG/hemodynamics skills and team collaboration are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must have RCIS, RCES, or IBHRE certification within 24 months of hire and remain in active status.
• Basic Life Support Certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 6 months of employment.
• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in a health science program (including cardiovascular technology, ultrasound, radiologic technology, respiratory therapy, or nursing).

Responsibilities

• Plans, provides, and documents care of cardiovascular invasive labs patients per physician orders and policies.
• Operates, monitors, and maintains patient information and data.
• Ensures quality and accuracy of reported laboratory data; reporting variances to physicians.
• Maintains and troubleshoots invasive lab equipment and ensures routine maintenance.
• Performs daily room QCs and prepares procedure rooms and equipment.
• Mentors others and participates in leadership or quality committees.
• Supports development of staff and participates in clinical improvement activities.
