Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced professional to serve as a cardiovascular invasive lab resource, performing and teaching procedures in CV/Cath/EP labs for adult patients. You will apply cardiovascular theory and technology to support diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including PTCA, stent placement, and EP-related tasks.

The role requires interpreting EKGs and hemodynamics, maintaining equipment, and mentoring staff.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in a health science program; competency in interpretation of EKG & hemodynamics.
• RCIS, RCES or IBHRE certification within 24 months of hire; BLS required; ACLS within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Plan, provide, and document care for cardiovascular invasive labs per physician orders.
• Operate, monitor, record, and evaluate patient information.
• Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting for invasive lab equipment.
• Conduct daily room QCs; ensure adequate stock and supply management.
• Provide mentoring and support for staff in complex procedures; participate in leadership/quality committees.
