Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in a health care organization.
• ICD9 and CPT coding (advanced skills) preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and good math knowledge essential.
• Some college preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet, instruct, direct and schedule patients and visitors.
• Verify demographics and insurance information; enter into system.
• Assist with answering phones and patient inquiries.
• Respond to billing/receivables requests and maintain patient accounts.
• Schedule patient appointments per physician guidelines.
• Collect payments and arrange payment plans when needed.
• Check in patients and update medical records as required.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and confidentiality policies.
