Job summary

Medtronic's Cardiac Surgery sales team is seeking a field-based representative to promote and sell the Cardiac Surgery portfolio across assigned accounts in West Ohio, Columbus, Cincinnati and Dayton. You will partner with surgeons, OR teams, and hospital leaders to expand adoption and strategy alignment.

The role requires travel up to 80% within the territory, strong relationship-building, and the ability to deliver education and clinical expertise for safe product use.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 8+ years OR associate's degree with 6+ years OR Bachelor's Degree and 4+ years of relevant experience in sales, clinical, or related roles within medical devices, medtech, healthcare, or life sciences
• Relevant sales, clinical, or related experience in medical devices, medtech, healthcare, or life sciences
• For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Responsibilities

• Execute a territory business plan to achieve quarterly and annual revenue, unit, and market share objectives.
• Develop relationships with cardiac surgeons, clinical staff, and key decision-makers to expand utilization of Cardiac Surgery therapies.
• Identify, prioritize, and close new business opportunities within existing and competitive accounts.
• Deliver product education, procedural support, and clinical expertise to ensure safe and effective product use.
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts and account plans to drive territory performance and resource allocation.
• Analyze customer, market, and competitive intelligence to identify growth opportunities and inform sales strategy.
• Partner cross-functionally with marketing, operations, research and development, and other internal stakeholders to address customer needs and support business objectives.
• Manage territory assets, inventory, expenses, and administrative reporting in accordance with company requirements.
• Meet the physical demands of the role, including frequent travel to customer sites, transporting product and equipment, prolonged periods of standing or walking, and working in clinical environments with exposure to radiation and infectious diseases.
• Performs other duties as assigned
