Job summary

Advocate Health in North Carolina is seeking an experienced Cardiac Sonographer to perform advanced echocardiography, supervise staff, and support quality assurance initiatives in the Cabarrus Echocardiography Lab.

The role requires 5 years of cardiovascular imaging experience, ARDMS CCU credentials, and BLS. You will work with physicians to ensure accurate diagnostics and participate in protocol development and ICAEL accreditation activities.

Qualifications

• Requires advanced training beyond high school in sonography.
• Must have 5 years of cardiovascular sonography experience.

Responsibilities

• Train and orient staff and students; provide day-to-day guidance.
• Assist in interviews, staff development and performance feedback.
• Perform advanced echocardiography procedures (M-mode, 2-D, Doppler).
• Identify cardiac abnormalities and correlate results with anatomy and function.
• Prepare patients and collect history for diagnostic imaging.
• Assist with transesophageal studies and sterile technique.
• Maintain lab statistics and equipment, and report malfunctions.
