Job summary

Duke Health is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer at Duke Cardiology of Raleigh to provide patient and provider support by using ultrasound imaging to aid in diagnosing and treating cardiac conditions.

Ideal candidates hold ARDMS/CCI certification in Adult Echocardiography (RDCS/RCS) or CRCS/ACS, have AHA BLS, and are prepared to credential within the given timelines. This role emphasizes accurate documentation, equipment care, and collaborative teamwork in a busy outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• ARDMS/CCI credentials for adult echocardiography required or eligible within one year.
• CRCS or ACS certification is acceptable as per eligibility.
• BLS certification required for clinical activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform timely vascular scans and document results.
• Ensure accurate measurements and proper study assignment.
• Prepare paperwork and maintain complete documentation for each study.
• Stock and maintain clean, organized workspaces and equipment.
• Handle add-on studies as requested by providers.
• Generate monthly ICAVL reporting.
