Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer III reporting to the Echo lab supervisor to perform all cardiac ultrasound exams and procedures in accordance with BIDMC policy and ASE scope of practice. This role provides leadership in education for staff, fellows, students, and clinicians to support the laboratory in imaging technology.

Qualifications

• Vocational or Technical training in cardiac ultrasound.
• Basic Life Support RDCS (ARDMS) or RCS (CCI) certification.
• 5 years related work experience.
• Knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, and pathology.

Responsibilities

• Performs all functions of a Cardiac Sonographer III.
• Acts as the day-to-day contact for sonographers and physicians.
• Prioritizes inpatient echo requests and schedules urgent exam requests.
• Leads workshops and training sessions for sonographers and fellows.
• Maintains training materials and develops new educational programs.
