Qualifications

• Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiologic Technology, AMA approved ultrasound course, or CMA accredited program in Diagnostic ultrasound (Treated as a 2-year Program).
• Associate's degree preferred.
• One year experience with patients preferred.
• Current BLS Certification

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates proficiency by performing routine and emergency echocardiograms; 2D, 3D, Doppler, Transesophageal, and Stress Echocardiograms as requested by physician.
• Records quality information while performing imaging; explain procedures to patient or family.
• Provides echocardiography service at all necessary locations; rotates weekends and on-call coverage as scheduled.
• Operates equipment to obtain diagnostic recordings; maintain equipment; perform routine cleaning and preventive maintenance.
• Participate in quality improvement activities; maintain logs and records; ensure confidentiality.
