Job summary

Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center in Houston, TX is seeking an Echo Tech/Sonographer to perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures and to help diagnose cardiovascular conditions.

You will operate ultrasound equipment to capture cardiac images, ensure patient comfort, and participate in a range of echocardiographic studies while maintaining high standards of infection control and equipment quality.

Qualifications

• Two years related experience.
• Basic Life Support - CPR within 14 days.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCI) upon hire / or
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer upon hire / or
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo upon hire / or
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Fetal Echo upon hire / or
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer upon hire / or
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Fetal Echo upon hire

Responsibilities

• Prepares equipment ensuring it is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards.
• Troubleshoots equipment failure and imaging quality and contacts service if needed.
• Maintains daily equipment and room maintenance and infection control standards.
• Completes quality checks and maintains equipment logs.
• Manages clinical supply inventories for each diagnostic room.
• Assists with patient testing, performing routine, non-routine, urgent and emergent requests.
