Job summary

Baylor St. Luke’s Medical Center is hiring an Echo Tech/Sonographer to perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures and assist in diagnosing cardiovascular conditions.

You will operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data, ensuring patient comfort and performing a range of echocardiographic studies. Success depends on a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, proficient technical skills, and effective communication to provide exceptional diagnostic services,

Qualifications

• Two years related experience in echocardiography or ultrasound
• Basic Life Support (CPR) certification
• Professional certifications listed under qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards
• Problem solve equipment failure and imaging quality and contacts service representative regarding equipment problems
• Ensures that daily equipment and room maintenance is performed during after each procedure, and that special precautions and measures are performed to ensure infection control standards
• Completes all quality checks and Ensures that equipment logs are maintained
• Completes all clinical supply inventories, ensuring that each diagnostic room is complete with the necessary supplies required to perform the procedure
• Actively Participates with patient testing, performing routine, non‑routine, urgent, and emergent patient requests
