Job summary

Baylor St. Luke's Medical Center in Houston is seeking an Echo Tech/Sonographer to perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures, capture high-quality cardiac images, and support cardiovascular diagnosis and treatment.

You will operate ultrasound equipment, ensure patient comfort, and maintain logs and supplies while upholding infection control standards. A minimum of two years’ experience and relevant certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Two years related experience required.
• CPR/BLS within 14 days required.
• CCI, ADULT ECHO, Fetal Echo certifications upon hire.
• Sonography credentials must be active and in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning according to diagnostic standards
• Troubleshoots equipment problems and imaging quality; contacts service when needed
• Maintains daily equipment logs and infection control standards
• Performs clinical supply inventories for each diagnostic room
• Performs a range of echocardiographic studies and participates with patient testing
