Job summary

CHI in Sugar Land, TX is seeking an Echo Tech/Sonographer to perform diagnostic echocardiography and capture high-quality cardiac images. You will operate ultrasound equipment to diagnose cardiovascular conditions and ensure patient comfort and data quality.

The role requires strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, proficient technical skills, and clear communication with patients and care teams. You will assist with routine testing, equipment prep and maintenance, quality checks, and inventory

Qualifications

• CPR within 14 days of hire or currently valid.
• CCI-registered cardiac sonography credential required by hire.
• RDCS certification required upon hire.
• RDCS Adult Echo required upon hire.
• RDMS + Fetal Echo credentials recommended.
• Active RDMS or other equivalent credential considered.

Responsibilities

• Perform ultrasound diagnostic imaging according to departmental protocols.
• Prepare equipment and ensure it is operational and safe.
• Maintain daily equipment and room upkeep after each procedure.

Job Summary And Responsibilities
As an Echo Tech/Sonographer, you will perform diagnostic echocardiography procedures to assist in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular conditions. Every day you will operate ultrasound equipment to capture high-quality cardiac images and data, ensuring patient comfort and performing a range of echocardiographic studies. To be successful, you will possess a strong understanding of cardiac anatomy, proficient technical skills, and effective communication abilities to provide exceptional diagnostic services.

• Performs ultrasound diagnostic imaging on patients according to the specific departmental procedure protocols
• Prepares equipment ensuring that equipment is operational, safe and functioning
• Ensures that daily equipment and room maintenance is performed after each procedure
• Completes all quality checks and Ensures that equipment logs are maintained
• Completes all clinical supply inventory
• Actively Participates with patient testing, performing routine, non-routine, urgent, and emergent patient requests

Job Requirements

Required

• Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 days
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer CCI, upon hire or
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, upon hire or
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Adult Echo, upon hire or
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer Fetal Echo, upon hire or
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, upon hire or
• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Fetal Echo, upon hire

Preferred

• Associate's degree or
• One year certificate from a health related program in a related medical field, which includes seminar course training in cardiac ultrasound

Pay Range

$36.51 - $54.31 /hour
