Job summary

Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital is seeking a skilled echocardiography technologist. You will perform adult transthoracic and stress echocardiograms, including color Doppler and tissue Doppler, and assist with transesophageal studies as needed.

You will prepare patients and equipment, record ECG data, monitor during procedures, and ensure accurate data is forwarded to physicians for interpretation. ARDMS or CCI credentials are required or strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required, plus sonography training with echocardiography emphasis.
• ARDMS RDCS or RDMS credential required; alternative cardiac sonography credentials may be considered.
• Experience with adult transthoracic echo and stress echocardiography preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform adult transthoracic and stress echocardiograms including Doppler and tissue imaging.
• Assist with transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE) and quantify results.
• Prepare examinations by reviewing orders, setting up equipment, and documenting data.
• Monitor patients during procedures and relay abnormal findings to physician.
