Capital One is seeking a Senior Manager, Card Risk: Vertical Risk Manager to lead high-profile risk initiatives within the Card Risk Team. You will manage risk frameworks, collaborate with business units, and drive improvements in risk governance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience.
• At least 5 years of experience working in risk management or financial services.
• At least 4 years of program management experience.
• At least 4 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients.
• Masters Degree preferred.
• 6+ years of Project Management experience leading cross functional projects and programs in Risk.
• 6+ years of program management experience leading cross functional risk programs.
• 6+ years of financial services risk management experience.
• 3+ years experience in Agile or design thinking.
• 4+ years of Compliance, Legal, Audit, or first or second line Risk Management experience.
• 4+ years of Project or ProcessManagement experience.
• CRMA or CRCM certification; PMP/Lean/Agile/Six Sigma certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate risk initiatives across the Card business line.
• Collaborate with executives and teams to identify and mitigate risks.
• Develop and implement risk management practices and reporting.
• Drive ad-hoc projects to improve processes and controls.
• Synthesize data to provide proactive business insights.
• Stay updated on regulatory changes affecting risk posture.
