Job summary

Capital One seeks a Director, Vertical Risk Manager for Card Risk (BC&P) to lead a team of risk professionals, guiding risk processes and driving strategy across the BC&P business. You will partner with executives to implement cutting edge risk solutions and ensure stability.

You will oversee risk management for the BC&P segment, develop category frameworks, and execute risk assessments to protect the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Military experience
• At least 7 years of experience working in risk management or financial services
• At least 5 years of program management experience
• At least 5 years of experience supporting, partnering and interacting with internal business clients
• At least 5 years of people management experience

Responsibilities

• Work with business partners to validate risk processes impacting the company's bottom line
• Consult with Executives to determine interaction model with Lines of Business to create positive relationships
• Drive finalization of risk category and subcategory framework
• Perform critical assessments on risk categories to mitigate risk to the company
• Perform extensive gap assessments and create recommendations to ensure smart business decisions
• Use analytical skills to conduct Risk Process Improvement, Process Design & Process Excellence
• Large scale Process Management/Governance
• Work with dynamic teams on Departmental Process Management & Execution
