Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, CT, is seeking a Senior Engineer - Carbon Seal Design & Analysis to advance carbon seals and rolling element bearings for commercial and military gas turbine engines. You will join the Components Analytical Group within the MSEN Module Center, applying leadership and design experience to solve complex engineering challenges.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Aerospace design, analysis, and/or gas turbine experience; leadership in project management.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.

Aufgaben

• Lead design, analysis, validation, and production support of carbon seals and bearings across engine programs.
• Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal engineering teams to develop sealing solutions.
• Investigate failures with root-cause analyses, support tests, and implement corrective actions.
• Develop methods and tools, mentor engineers, and drive continuous improvement.
• Present findings and recommendations to customers and senior leadership.
• Travel up to 10% for domestic and international activities.
