Cyient Limited is seeking an experienced Aero Gas Turbine Structural Analysis Engineer to join our team in East Hartford, Connecticut. The role focuses on evaluating the structural durability of gas turbine components and utilizing finite element analysis to assess performance in line with Pratt & Whitney standards.

Responsibilities include building FE models, interpreting results, and communicating recommendations to improve reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on gas turbine engineering experience with structural analysis.

• Ability to communicate analysis results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

This role is integral to ensuring the reliability and performance of our aerospace products, particularly those aligned with Pratt and Whitney standards.

About the Role

We are seeking an engineer to evaluate the structural durability of gas turbine components supporting Pratt & Whitney aerospace programs. In this role, you will use finite element analysis to assess component performance, investigate technical issues, and communicate recommendations that improve reliability.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural and durability analyses of turbine components, including stress, vibration, and fatigue assessments.
• Build and interpret finite element models to evaluate component performance against design and customer requirements.
• Read engineering drawings and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing principles, including ASME Y14.5M.
• Work with design and other engineering teams to resolve technical issues and improve component durability.
• Investigate potential failure modes, support root-cause analysis, and recommend corrective or mistake-proofing actions.
• Document methods, results, and recommendations in clear technical reports and presentations.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant gas turbine engineering experience, including hands‑on structural analysis; 8 or more years preferred.

Required Skills

• Experience using finite element analysis tools for stress, vibration, or fatigue analysis.
• Strong understanding of gas turbine operation and the relationship between component design and durability.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and communicate analysis results to technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office for technical documentation and presentations.
• Skills Required ANSYS Software, Engineering Analysis, ANSYS Finite Element Analysis.

Preferred Skills

• Preferred: Experience with Pratt & Whitney products and standards, particularly GTF compressor or turbine rotor hardware.
