Firefly Aerospace is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join the Structures Department, leading tooling development and full-rate production for the world’s largest liquid-fueled composite rocket programs. You will drive continuous improvement, optimize processes, and provide technical leadership across design, manufacturing, and quality teams.

The role requires a strong background in aerospace composite manufacturing, 10 years of experience, and proficiency in CAD tooling.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10 years experience in carbon fiber composite aerospace manufacturing.
• Proficiency in CAD software for tooling/fixturing designs.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Aufgaben

• Lead the design and development of tooling, fixtures, and production equipment for aerospace composite components.
• Continuously evaluate and enhance manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures to optimize efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Take ownership of hardware development and production processes, ensuring adherence to schedules and driving continuous improvements.
• Develop and implement innovative solutions for tooling and fixturing to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality.
• Work closely with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure seamless production integration.
• Identify and address production challenges, implementing effective solutions to ensure timely delivery of high-quality aerospace components.
