Job summary

Firefly Aerospace in the United States is seeking an Integrated Manufacturing Lead to drive tooling, fixtures, and production equipment for aerospace composite components. You will own hardware development, mentor engineers, and partner with design, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure on-time delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 10 years in carbon fiber composite aerospace manufacturing, with strong CAD skills and a proven record of process improvements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10 years experience in carbon fiber composite aerospace manufacturing.
• Proficiency in CAD software for tooling and fixturing designs.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated track record of driving process improvements and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of initiative, self-motivation, and ability to thrive in a dynamic and challenging work environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of tooling, fixtures, and production equipment for aerospace composites.
• Manage manufacturing team tasks and priorities per IMS schedule.
• Drive process improvements to increase capacity, quality, and reduce costs.
• Provide guidance on part fabrication and hardware development.
• Collaborate with design, manufacturing, and quality teams for smooth integration.
• Mentor junior engineers.
