Job summary

Expression in the DC metro area seeks a Capture Manager to lead and manage capture efforts for high-value opportunities. You will develop strategies, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive the proposal process to win new business.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of capture management or related experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a proven track record in federal contracting. Hybrid work in the DMV area with competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or related field.
• 5–7 years of capture management, business development, or related experience.
• Strong understanding of the proposal lifecycle including capture planning and submission.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with federal contracting or defense programs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive capture strategies for assigned opportunities.
• Identify customer requirements, competitive landscape, and market trends to inform strategy.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
• Lead the capture process from identification through contract award.
• Oversee proposal content development and ensure compliance with RFP requirements.
• Coordinate reviews, including red team and final edits, and manage proposal budgets and timelines.
• Monitor industry trends and provide market intelligence to support BD efforts.
• Track capture performance and report progress to senior management.
