Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Senior Scheduler/Planner to join our Capital Projects team in Elko, NV. You will develop, maintain, and analyze schedules across study through execution, delivering integrated, resource-loaded plans and monitoring baselines to support project decisions and successful delivery.

The role requires strong Primavera P6 expertise, earned value understanding, and the ability to coordinate across engineering, procurement, and construction teams while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (required).
• 8–10 years of planning/scheduling experience on major mining or heavy industrial capital projects (preferred).
• Advanced Primavera P6 proficiency; experience with risk analysis tools (e.g., Acumen Fuse/ Primavera Risk Analysis) is an asset.
• Understanding of earned value management, progress measurement, and baseline control (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated master schedules and detailed execution schedules using Primavera P6.
• Build resource- and cost-loaded schedules to support progress measurement and earned value.
• Establish schedule baselines; manage baseline change control in line with project procedures.
• Collect and validate progress data from engineering, procurement, and construction teams; update schedules regularly.
• Perform critical path, float, and what-if analyses; identify schedule risks and mitigation plans.
• Review and integrate contractor schedules; assess schedule submissions and progress claims.
• Prepare schedule reports, look-aheads, S-curves, and KPI dashboards for reporting.
• Mentor junior planners and support continuous improvement of planning practices.
