Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Senior Scheduler/Planner to join our Capital Projects team. You’ll develop, maintain, and analyze integrated project schedules across studies to execution, ensuring resource-loaded baselines and timely delivery.

Responsibilities include leading schedule development in Primavera P6, progressing against baselines, performing risk analyses, and reporting KPIs. The role emphasizes safety, collaboration, and continuous improvement within a mining environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience required
• Minimum 8-10 years of planning/scheduling experience on major mining or heavy industrial capital projects preferred
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6; experience with schedule risk analysis tools (e.g., Acumen Fuse/Risk, Primavera Risk Analysis) an advantage required
• Strong understanding of earned value management, progress measurement, and baseline control preferred
• Experience in both owner's team and contractor environments preferred

Responsibilities

• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards (MSHA)
• Develop and maintain integrated master schedules and detailed execution schedules using Primavera P6
• Build resource- and cost-loaded schedules to support progress measurement and earned value management
• Establish and maintain schedule baselines; manage baseline change control
• Collect and validate progress data from engineering, procurement, and construction teams and contractors
• Perform critical path, float, and what-if analyses; identify schedule risks and mitigation plans
• Review and integrate contractor schedules and assess submissions
• Prepare schedule reports, look-aheads, S-curves, and KPI dashboards
• Support planning sessions, constructability reviews, and turnaround/shutdown planning
• Contribute schedule input to risk workshops and QSRA
• Ensure schedule quality and compliance with procedures
• Mentor junior planners and support continuous improvement
• Perform other duties as assigned
