Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking a Senior Scheduler/Planner to join our Capital Projects team. The successful candidate will develop, maintain, and analyze integrated, resource-loaded schedules from study through execution, supporting decision-making and delivery.

You will build detailed master schedules in Primavera P6, manage baselines, perform critical path and what-if analyses, and produce reports for executives.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of planning/scheduling experience on major mining or heavy industrial capital projects preferred.
• Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or equivalent experience required.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6; experience with schedule risk analysis tools an advantage required.
• Strong understanding of earned value management, progress measurement, and baseline control preferred.
• Experience in both owner's team and contractor environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Champion a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
• Develop and maintain integrated master schedules and detailed execution schedules using Primavera P6.
• Build resource- and cost-loaded schedules to support progress measurement and earned value management.
• Establish and maintain schedule baselines; manage baseline change control in line with project procedures.
• Collect and validate progress data from engineering, procurement, and construction teams; update schedules regularly.
• Perform critical path, float, and what-if analyses; identify schedule risks and mitigation plans.
• Review and integrate contractor schedules; assess schedule submissions and extension of time requests.
• Prepare schedule reports, look-aheads, S-curves, and KPI dashboards for reporting.
• Support planning sessions, constructability reviews, and turnaround/shutdown planning.
• Contribute schedule input to risk workshops and QSRA analyses.
• Ensure schedule quality and compliance with procedures; mentor junior planners.
