Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines is seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer (Project Manager) who excels in field execution and partners with operations to deliver safe, practical projects on site in Nevada. This role requires leading teams, managing scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

You will spend significant time in the field, coordinate with construction, engineering, environmental and operations teams, and drive projects from concept through closeout

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in Engineering or related field and 10+ years directly managing contractor work in the field.
• Field-based environments such as construction sites, industrial facilities, or mining operations.
• 8+ years of project planning and project management with field execution, commissioning, and handover.
• Experience leading teams of Engineers, Field Staff, and Contractors.
• MS Office proficiency (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Spend significant time in the field during planning, construction, commissioning, and handover.
• Lead field engineering activities, verify design alignment with real-world conditions, support construction teams, and address issues.
• Develop project execution plan and build owner's team with necessary resources.
• Drive projects from concept through closeout.
• Oversee project execution and communicate with construction teams, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Develop procurement specifications for equipment and work scopes for EPC bid packages.
• Prepare capital allocation requests and seek funding.
• Maintain records of costs against the approved budget.
• Perform risk and consequences analysis for projects.
• Create/update SOPs and asset management tactics.
