Job summary

Nevada Gold Mines in Elko, NV seeks an experienced Project Manager to safely deliver capital projects on time and within budget. Lead a team of PM professionals, drive continuous improvement, and align actions with safety leadership and Courage to Care principles.

Collaborate with executives, finance, and operations to optimize value, manage risks, and ensure governance across major capital investments in a dynamic mining environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field; PMP and PE are preferred.
• 10–15 years' progressive project management experience.
• Large capital project management experience; strong PM techniques.
• Experience negotiating with and managing contractors.
• Knowledge of engineering design and quality control; understanding of financial modeling.
• Governance and risk management experience; ERP and PM systems knowledge.
• Understanding of environmental permitting processes; KPI reporting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and prioritize projects; assess trade-offs and value with finance.
• Align process with corporate capital spend criteria and communicate backlog.
• Oversee AFE process; ensure delivery safely, on time, and within budget.
• Manage contractor selection; drive design improvements throughout projects.
• Coordinate with supply chain for timely materials and cost control.
• Identify, mitigate, monitor, and respond to risks in project execution.
• Report progress to sponsors; maintain transparency and auditability.
