Job summary

Ecoservices in Houston seeks a Lead Estimator to serve as the technical authority for capital cost estimating across the North American portfolio. You will own Front-End Loading estimates (FEL 1–3), validate budgets, and anchor the cost basis that supports funding decisions at each stage gate.

Responsibilities include developing AACE Class 1–5 estimates, preparing a Basis of Estimate, benchmarking against historical data, and leading risk-based contingency analyses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 8–10 years in capital cost estimating in petrochemical/related industries.
• Experience preparing and reviewing AACE Class 5–3 estimates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare owner-side AACE Class 1–5 estimates for FEL lifecycle.
• Develop Basis of Estimate (BOE) documenting scope, quantities, pricing, labor, escalation, and accuracy.
• Benchmark estimates against historical data and industry data; challenge outliers and reconcile differences.
• Lead contingency development using range estimating and Monte Carlo methods.
