Job summary

Jobot seeks an experienced Sr. Capital Project Manager to lead a greenfield expansion adjacent to an existing steel mill. You will oversee three main steel processing areas, plus utilities like cooling water, boilers and air compressors.

This is a senior role demanding strong leadership and cross-functional coordination. You will drive budgeting, scheduling, and risk management, coordinating with contractors and internal teams to hit milestones on time and within a robust budget.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing capital expenditure (CapEx) projects exceeding $300 million.
• Strong background in steel industry projects; oil/gas, pulp/paper, or mining/metals experience considered.
• Expertise in Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) delivery methods.
• Experience with self-perform construction management.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PE, or equivalent are highly desirable.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in project management software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire project lifecycle from site development through civil/structural building construction to complete process line installation, culminating in handover for commissioning.
• Oversee and coordinate all aspects of the capital project, including budgeting, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management.
• Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project goals are met on time and within budget.
• Implement and maintain project control systems to monitor progress, costs, and quality.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
• Lead and motivate project teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
