Job summary

The County of Contra Costa is seeking a Supervising Capital Facilities Project Manager in Martinez, CA. This leadership role oversees the Capital Projects Management Division and guides major county capital projects from inception to completion while mentoring and developing project managers.

You will coordinate with multiple departments, manage budgets, schedules, and change orders, and ensure projects meet scope, quality, and regulatory requirements, while promoting effective communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture/engineering/construction management or related field.
• Five years of full-time progressive architectural, engineering or PM experience.
• Two years of lead or supervisory experience in capital projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, schedule, and execute Capital Projects county-wide.
• Direct a team of professionals for large, complex, political projects.
• Ensure change orders and payments follow County policies.
• Provide regular updates to the CPM Division Manager.
• Manage budgets and schedules to deliver on time and within budget.
• Ensure proper project close-out on completion.
