Job summary

Capital Program Management Inc. is seeking an Assistant Project/Construction Manager to support public works modernization and new construction programs in San Mateo County and East Bay area.

You will assist with coordination from conception to completion, preparing reports and documentation for job status. The role requires experience in design, preconstruction and construction phases, strong communication skills, and the ability to work within deadlines.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting public works modernization and new construction programs.
• Excellent people and written communication skills.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple deadlines.
• Ability to read plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain reports, records and files for assigned activities; assist managers with construction documentation.
• Assist or manage contracts and the out-to-bid process.
• Review contracts and insurance requirements; document controls across project phases.
• Assist in fiscal analysis related to planning, budgeting, invoicing and payment.
• Schedule meetings, take notes and follow up on items.
• Coordinate with agencies and moving services; input data and develop reports.
