Job summary

Korn Ferry is seeking a Senior Manager, Capital Projects to lead capital investments at our Torrance aerospace manufacturing site. You will shepherd projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring on-time delivery, budget discipline, and ROI alignment.

Responsibilities include cross-functional collaboration with operations, engineering, finance and EHS, forecasting reductions, maintaining rigorous documentation, and ensuring compliance with ITAR and FAA standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering, Business, or Operations is required.
• MBA preferred.
• 5+ years of experience managing CAPEX projects in manufacturing environments.
• Familiarity with AS9100, FAA regulations, and defense compliance.
• Must be able to prioritize and complete multiple and diverse work assignments with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

• Lead full lifecycle management of capital projects from concept development and feasibility through design, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
• Ensure disciplined project execution across Torrance site, by managing scope, schedule, budget, and vendor performance while alignment with annual CAPEX plans and approval processes.
• Partner cross-functionally with operations, engineering, finance, procurement, and EHS to align project objectives with broader enterprise strategy.
• Lead forecasting and tracking of reduction targets and actuals, ensuring capital investments align with sustainability goals and environmental impact objectives.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation including budgets, schedules, risk assessments, and ROI/payback analyses.
• Monitor project performance, track KPIs, and report progress to senior leadership.
• Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory standards throughout each phase of the project lifecycle.
• Manage external vendors and contractors to ensure adherence to project specifications, timelines, and governance protocols.
• Provide financial oversight for CAPEX initiatives, including cost tracking, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Identify and evaluate new CAPEX opportunities in collaboration with site leaders and operational teams, contributing to long-term asset value and operational efficiency.
• Continuously seek opportunities to optimize CAPEX investments, reduce waste, and improve return on investment.
