Job summary

Kito Crosby is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer - Capital Projects, CNC & Automation to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing processes. You will drive CAPEX projects, CNC programming, automation initiatives, and process improvements across operations, maintenance, quality, supply chain, and finance.

This role requires technical leadership, ROI analysis, vendor management, and the ability to translate business cases into actionable projects that boost safety,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field; equivalent combinations may be considered.
• 5+ years of manufacturing engineering in CNC/machining or advanced manufacturing.
• Experience managing capital projects from concept through implementation.
• Experience with manufacturing automation and process improvement initiatives.
• Strong background in machining, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing systems.
• Experience with capital justifications, ROI, and budget management.
• Proficiency with CNC programming (Mastercam/ Fusion 360/ Esprit/ GibbsCAM).
• Lean Six Sigma or PMP credentials are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital expenditure projects from concept to commissioning and startup.
• Develop equipment specifications, facility layouts, and tech requirements.
• Identify opportunities, prepare ROI/NPV analyses, and manage project budgets.
• Lead automation projects, robotics, vision systems, and material handling systems.
• Collaborate across operations, maintenance, quality, supply chain, and finance to ensure project success.
• Drive improvements in OEE, throughput, and process capability.
