Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a Corporate Capital Projects Engineer in Lathrop, CA. You will lead capital projects from scope through startup, coordinating with plant leadership and corporate teams to meet budgets and timelines.

The role requires 4+ years in capital project engineering within manufacturing, with hands-on experience in equipment selection, procurement, vendor management, and GMP/EHS compliance for FDA-regulated food manufacturing. Travel 25%–50% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of capital project engineering experience in manufacturing.
• Experience managing multi-disciplinary capital projects up to $10MM - $50MM.
• Background in FDA-regulated food or beverage manufacturing; GMPs and EHS compliance.
• Basic AutoCAD proficiency.
• PMP certification or PE license preferred.
• CMMS/EAM experience (Infor/Hexagon EAM preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute capital projects from scope development through startup and closeout.
• Manage capital investments across multiple manufacturing facilities.
• Coordinate with plant leadership and corporate teams on project goals, budgets, and timelines.
• Oversee equipment selection, procurement, vendor management, and contractor activities.
• Support construction management, commissioning, startup, and validation activities.
• Ensure compliance with FDA, GMP, food safety, EHS, and regulatory standards.
• Troubleshoot technical and operational issues during project execution.
• Support infrastructure assessments and long-term capital planning strategies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, FSQ, EHS, Procurement, and Finance teams.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to automation, packaging, utilities, and production systems.
